About Me

I am 23 and work in a bank. I finished University in 2013 and have been saving ever since for my world trip starting Feb 2015!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to look into couch surfing as I am travelling across SE Asia, Australia and USA from February until September 2015 and really wanted to meet locals who know the cities I am staying in, inside out. I am looking to stay with fun, active people who want to show the people they are hosting the best parts of the city they live in!! Although I plan to stay in hostels most of the time to meet travellers to adventure with, I would also like to experience the other side with those who know the city best.

Interests

My biggest passion is travel. I have tried to visit somewhere new every year, whether that be for historical insight (Krakow), cultural diversity (Tunisia) or a messy week away (Ayia Napa). Alongside this I inter-railed through Europe for 5 weeks in 2011 and visited 14 cities with my best friend. We have now decided to do a world trip, I will be experiencing SE Asia with her before going it alone in Australia and America. I am always interested in meeting new people and am open-minded to different experiences. I also really enjoy reading, with the number of long haul buses and trains in SE Asia I'm sure I'll get a lot done!

Music, Movies, and Books

Eclectic taste in music.

Films are a big passion of mine so it's hard to name a few but favourites include; The Skin I Live in, anything Tarantino, Fight Club, Leon: The Professional, Oldboy and of course Frozen!

Books I most enjoy are fiction based around massive historical events such as; slavery, Spanish civil war, World Wars.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Whilst in Bali I visited Matt Norman and Michael Czugaj of the Bali Nine. Very interesting to learn the truth about Kerobokan prison and find out how westerners cope inside.

Teach, Learn, Share

On my travel adventure I not only want to see the world but also learn from others' experiences and learn what they can teach about the cities I am lucky enough to explore. I am excited to share stories about my travels and love to meet others who have been to the same places and can relate to the things I have seen and done. Always interesting to see what others did in the places you have been.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer hosts an easy guest. Open-minded to new experiences and exploring the city with a local, but equally happy to have a place to stay and explore alone. I can help out with housework to contribute something whilst I stay, not the best cook but happy to help in the kitchen / cook for myself. I'd like to think I bring a bit of fun and laughter when I couch surf, accept me to find out!
