About Me

I've lived in 7 cities and towns in 5 countries on 3 continents. I've never been kicked out of a bar but I've been kicked out of the USA.

I love to be outside and when I spend time in cities I usually find myself searching out green spaces. I love water and every water sport I've tried.

I'm a gamer, from cards and tabletop games to console and mobile games. I love a good conversation but also enjoy sitting quietly and observing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had a couchsurfer stay in a sharehouse I lived in in 2007, which introduced me to the website. My favourite travel experiences have been visiting friends in their hometowns, from the time I sat buddy seat in the tractor during the corn harvest in Iowa to doing backcountry kayaking trips with a friend in Colombia. There's something special about having someone show you what THEY love about where they live.

I've surfed couches around the world and hosted surfers from around the world, some through the website and some through tenuous friend connections.

Interests

I like being outside and learning new things. I'd rather be sleeping in a hammock in a boat shed and surfing every day than staying in a hotel in a city, but I can also appreciate good food, live music, theatre and art.
