About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see it all, but not necessarily know it all.

ABOUT ME

I'm a happy, friendly 20 year old, living outside Bristol during the Summer time. From September 2010 I'll be living in Leeds again.

Well, I enjoy baking fruity cakes, cooking vegetarian meals (even though I do eat meat on the odd occasion), practising speaking German when I can, doodling in odd sketchbooks, going to gigs and bars and clubs, learning about the human body, swimming outdoors, dancing badly but with a smile on my face :)

I also like cider, tea, and potato salad.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. If you're judging people, they're probably judging you.

Es gibt nie schlechtes Wetter, nur unangemessene Kleidung

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In Bristol I have no couch as I'm living with my parents. In Leeds I would need to discuss this with my housemates, but it's a possibility. But I am usually free to meet with people who wish to see the city and drink some tea (or coffee).

I know all the good tea rooms.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Shown a couple of people round, but have never stayed or had anyone to stay.

Interests

Cycling! I pretty much cycle most places and swim every now and then. Rivers and lakes beat a pool any day.

Swing dancing!

Textiles and creating 'things' out of textiles.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to; mostly a mixture of folk and indie. There's also a reoccurring trend involving animals in band names, e.g. Woodpigeon, Eels, Wolf Parade, Grizzly Bear, and the ultimate Animal Collective.
I find Johnathon Safran Foer pretty spellbinding, even though he's only written a couple of books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmmm the most amazing thing... Icebergs in Iceland, purple peppers in Sweden, wild boar in Germany. I know I have much to see and do but it will get done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know some amazing tea rooms in Bath and Bristol, Moroccan restaurants in Leeds, and few cycle routes in each.

I can teach a few basic Swing Dancing steps :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden
