About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world, explore the hidden corners, experience different religions, culture etc, and get some pins in that fantastic world map on my wall.

ABOUT ME

Enthusiastic, driven, outgoing hopeless romantic. Likes reading, writing, but not arithmetic. Major goals in life are to travel to the remotest areas of this planet and to become a full-time author.
I was born in Ireland, but lived in Norway for 6.5 years. I 'kinda' moved back home last year with the intention to half and half, but haven't made it back yet!
Regarding the writing career, I've had one book published entitled 'Red Wine and Words.' It's a collection of short stories, mostly of the psychological horror genre, but with horror, thriller, crime, romantic suspense, humour and even an auld poem thrown in there for good measure. I'm currently, and always, working on numerous new works.

PHILOSOPHY

"You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery and I promise you, something good will come of it."
Sometimes I think too much, plan too much, and give myself too much time to talk myself out of things. My aim is to start living by this quote. Take chances. I believe chances crop up at points in our lives to give us the possibility to break the endless cycle we can sometimes get stuck in. Oftentimes we think them through and let them go, opting for the safe option of our familiar lives, when what we really need is twenty seconds of bravery...

Interests

Reading, writing, gaming. I love movies and going to the cinema. Being Irish, socialising has to make the top of the list; I love to meet new people.
Sports-wise I like anything extreme that includes snow and water - snowboarding, cross country skiing, cliff jumping, wakeboarding etc.
Languages, cultures and religions. Philosophy, psychology, mythology.

Music, Movies, and Books

Bram Stokers Dracula, Emily Bronte Wuthering Heights, Harper Lee To Kill a Mockingbird - in that order! I'm a fiend for the classics but I also love the likes of the Harry Potter Series, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Artemis Foul.
My favourite movie is Pans Labyrinth.
My music taste is just as eclectic as my film and book tastes. Metallica, Muse, Nirvana, Kings of Leon, Radiohead, Guns n' Roses.
