CURRENT MISSION
no mission. just living.
ABOUT ME
Hey there! I'm Emma - Midwest born and raised but now in Boston for grad school. Looking forward to meeting people in the area and maybe hosting :)
More than anything I love to have a laugh. Tell me a stupid joke or make a well-timed sarcastic comment and we'll get along great. I love getting to know new people in the context of travelling. I feel like it forces you into being more open, honest, and outgoing and helps you get to know someone faster but more deeply than in other situations.
I'm pretty much up for anything when I travel or host. I don't like to plan too much... just go with the flow and see what happens. Sometimes I like to spend time by myself during the day, wandering and getting lost while exploring a new place. In the evenings I'm up for anything from cooking a meal together (I LOVE cooking and eating), having a few quiet drinks, or going for a night out.
PHILOSOPHY
Be nice.

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently finishing the Lord of the Rings trilogy (I know, I'm a bit late on the uptake...). But generally not a huge fiction reader. I tend to read a bit of history, politics, and sociology.
Music: Anything, depending on my mood. I used to play in orchestra so I like classical music sometimes. Also indie pop/rock, folk, some hip hop.
And I love 30 Rock.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Maybe cliche, but going to the Acropolis in Athens. It was very surreal. Also, the first time I was ever in a plane and we landed in Denver, CO. Seeing the Rocky Mountains from that perspective was amazing!
