ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Emma!

A few months ago I decided I needed a break from my life - too much work, too much stress, not enough space to relax and just enjoy life. So, I finished up my study, quit my job, and now I'm travelling. So far, it's all good! I have been to England, Wales, France, Belgium and I'm now in Germany.

But, about me: I'm relaxed, easygoing, love meeting new people, though I'm a little quiet and shy to start with. I LOVE travelling and learning about new places and cultures. I love to cook, my specialty is vegan cupcakes (really!) and I will happily cook for anyone who will let me in their kitchen. I love board games, playing with lego, telling bad jokes, reading, listening to music, walking, cycling, exploring...

I'm a vegan, kind of... I like eating organic food, and food that is sustainably and ethically grown.

Interests

I'm a nurse, have just been studying public health so eventually I can work in community development/humanitarian aid. I'm planning a trip to Uganda later this year to get some experience, and can't wait!

I like travelling, baking cupcakes, meeting new people and hanging out with new and old friends, drinking coffee, playing board games, hiking, debating, being creative...

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music, especially if it is live. I like Sufjan Stevens, Death Cab for Cutie, Brand New, Josh Pyke.
My favourite movies are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Amelie, Into the Wild, I can't think of any more right now.
I love reading, this year I read Paulo Coelho for the first time and it changed my life! I am reading eat, pray, love at the moment, it's a great travel book.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have great first aid skills! Can teach you how to bake the most amazing vegan cupcakes. I'm trained in ABA therapy (for kids with autistm) but I'm not sure that is something to really share over CS!

I really want to improve my French! And, I want to learn about anything I can...
