About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Always learn more, always discover more

ABOUT ME

I'm from L'Assomption, a medium town in Lanaudière, Québec. Even though I love my local community and also the great city of Montreal where I live since a year and half, I constantly feel the need to travel and to live new experiences. I've been to several countries in North and South Americas, Europe and Africa. I've been an activist for more environmental and social justice and am always in to discuss, converse and debate on whatever topics or issues.

PHILOSOPHY

Autonomy and interdependence. Being free to act and decide for yourself doesn't mean that you have to forgot others. We are one community, one family. Others build you and you build them the same way. Always keep in mind that they are as important as you are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used Couchsurfing a lot in my trips, especially in Middle east. I also hosted a few people with my roommates in the last year. I'm always happy to help people who wish to discover Montreal city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosted and I hosted quite a lot. All these experiences always had been great positive and rewarding experiences. I met a lot of very interesting people and I discoverd places like I would never do in other circomstances.

Interests

I'm very interested by history, cultures, humanities, international actualities and all these things. But that doesn't make me a bookworm at all as I also like so much to have good time with friends, to play and listen to music (I play piano, trumpet and guitar), bike, outdoors and camping.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to read literature and poetry, but also philosophy and humanities. I can't list every author who has been important to me but i can name some of them: Albert Camus, Cornelius Castoriadis, Victor Hugo, Gaston Miron, Milan Kundera, Agota Kristof, and hundred of others.

Music: I like music that transcends sounds and beats to take us higher and to make us think and feel better than before. I like old progressive rock, classical music, jazz and so much others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the amazing things I've done is participating to the Conference of the Parties of the United Nation Frame Convention on Climat Change (COP 17 of UNFCCC) in Durban, South Africa. I had the opportunity to address climate changes with canadian leaders and criticize them their inaction.

Teach, Learn, Share

My field of study is politics, history, international studies. They are fields of knowledge where I like to share my passion. Otherwise, I love to learn new languages. Also, I love beer tasting and I'm always happy to discover or to make discover a new beer.
