I am a Belgian girl currently living in Liège with my lovely mum.

I try to do my best, I try to walk on a path of constant improvement, I try to be kind towards myself and others. I am interested in environment, ecology, meditation, live music, bike travel, growing my own food one day,
low cost and low tech, regarding voluntary simplicity. I grow and eat some sprouts, and brew komboucha.
I like sports, I bike a lot to go where I need to, I like sailing, and I am learning hang-gliding.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meet people in the most friendly way :) I really love the couchsurfing philosophy. Humans are meant to share, help each other, live together. We are so social animals, that's a pity to not know our neighbours so well. Welcoming a stranger to my home is very meaningful for me, especially as I have met really amazing hosts through couchsurfing network in Belgium, California, Amsterdam,... I have also been welcomed so many times at friends's houses, and in close friends lifes, and knowing that I am welcome somewhere I can feel safe and sound is very heartwarming.
One of my closest friendship started with a girl who welcomed me in her home, in her room, to help me, without any counterpart, for free, for the sake of being of service.
Through couchsurfing I have also made friends, for some days or some years, with friends from abroad. Some encounters, full of kindness, make you feel grateful, and that's how I feel about my couchsurfing experience so far. So if I can help you by having you for a few hours, a few days, share with you, connect with you, fellow human being, I would be pleased, sincerely.

Interests

Learning to use my hands for building things. After university, I helped my brother building his house, and I learned a lot about using tools and how houses are made, actually^^ I would like to build a solar oven, a solar dryer, a spirulina aquarium, some chairs and table for the garden, a work out station to put some gymnastic rings on it, a yurt, and ultimately, my own tiny house :)
I would like to build the habit to meditate every day. I love sports, good for the mind and the body. I sometimes fast, I sometimes do some yoga.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Miyazaki's masterpieces, psychological thrillers such as "l'amant double", pirates of the carribeans and its legendary music, Louis de Funès comedies (thanks to my mom), Shrek adventures, childhood heroes (when I was a kid, I wanted to be Hercules to save damsels in distress), la Cité de la Peur, la tour Monparnasse Infernale, Harry Potter books, (I liked the movies, but a little bit less), Artic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Ibeyi, la rue Kétanou, and so many others !
