About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Teach. Inspire. Learn.
ABOUT ME
Yes, I'm your local wacky art teacher who does about a million things besides teaching. I'm fairly outgoing and I love new experiences and meeting new people. I'm rather quiet but I'm not all that shy, and I'm easy to talk to. I'm calm and level-headed, but I'm enthusiastic about almost everything! I'm very open-minded and always in a good mood :)
I'm also fluent in sarcasm, so don't take it personally. It gets the better of me.
PHILOSOPHY
Hakuna matata!
Respect yourself, respect others and respect the Earth.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just looking for couches to sleep on at the moment! One day I would love to have a place to be able to host other travelers and return the love.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far so good! I couchsurfed in Ireland for about a month, and absolutely loved it. I think it's the best way to travel and properly experience the area you're visiting.
Interests
I love history, languages and music of all kinds. I enjoy watching movies, reading fantasy novels and school in general (basically all forms of storytelling and learning). I make jewelry and crafts using natural materials (mostly healing stones and crystals), and I love learning about the cultures that define my human brothers and sisters!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love high fantasy - Tolkien, Rothfuss, Elizabeth Haydon, etc. And yes, I love Harry Potter. I won't deny it.
I love movies that challenge me, make me think and question the way I see the world - Cloud Atlas is definitely number 1 on my recommendation list (Sense8 too if you're into tv shows). I love Guillermo Del Toro films, specifically Pan's Labyrinth.
I listen to a variety of music - I generally love traditional music of all kinds, and I've softened from metal into folk (Kemp & Eden, Ghost of a Saber-Tooth Tiger are my favourite unconventional bands).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed Mount Olympus in a raging thunderstorm without anything remotely resembling experience. 🙃
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm happy as long as I can share my love for people and the world around me.
If you're looking for something specific, I enjoy sharing my knowledge of languages and history, and I love learning other languages! If you've got a musical instrument around, I'd love to learn or play with you.
I can teach you to curse like a French Canadian (Québécois), how to use herbs for medicinal uses, and how to make your own chocolate. Probably a bunch of other things, but I'll see when I meet you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laughs! Film recommendations...maple syrup?
