About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To always remain curious, kind, and dynamic.

ABOUT ME

I'm a laid-back, gypsy-librarian-ish person who just likes meeting good folk. I can have baked treats on hand if you let me know your preference and give me enough advance notice! I also have lame jokes, so don't say I didn't warn you.

PHILOSOPHY

Do good.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm getting into the hang of hosting surfers and love hearing people's stories. I'm down to hang out or let surfers do their thing; I like to treat my surfers more like roommates-for-a-day than guests. I don't have a wealth of knowledge about my new city yet, so I do better if you have a fairly self-directed itinerary as far as seeing the sights. I'm more than glad to be a fellow explorer, though, and could probably show you to a good bar or two. So far I've had a ton of fun hosting, made some friends, and seen new parts of Portland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosting since I moved here about three weeks ago, and my experience has been nothing but positive. I've gotten to meet some hilarious, talented, interesting, and good people. Letting strangers sleep in my living room has turned out pretty well so far.

Interests

Reading, sewing, exploring, adjectives, coffee, wine & beer, baking treats, failed cooking experiments, tattoos, playing outside, thrifting, language, people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I generally like books/bands/movies that are any of the following: interesting, creative, beautiful, funny.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I won second place in a pumpkin pie eating contest once. That was pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

The best way to have coffee and cream is in a teacup with a rounded bottom. Pour the half-and-half in and watch it swirl back up to the top. It's awesome.
