About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a 20 year old college student from Brooklyn, NYC who wants to see the world! I love to learn, to take pictures and make people laugh. I try to get to know people as best that I can and believe that we have something to learn from everyone we meet.

Currently landed in the Twin Cities, Minnesota.

PHILOSOPHY

"Make voyages. Attempt them. There is nothing else." - Tennessee Williams

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to couch surfing but am excited to see how this all works!

Interests

I love photography, and do it for fun on my own and as a job at school. I love walking through new neighborhoods, watching movies, spending time talking with friends, going to the beach and attempting to communicate in spanish. We'll probably be talking about politics within five minutes of being introduced.

Music, Movies, and Books

movies/The Breakfast Club, Fight Club, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Man on Wire.
books/memoirs of a geisha, little bee, a thousand splendid suns, but right now I am all about the academic journals (collllleggee)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Landing in Chile when I was 15 and seeing the Andes for the first time was an incredible experience. Then I got to live in them when visiting family in Colombia last summer.
2. I love animals, and swimming with dolphins in Honduras was amazing, as was living on the elephant conservation camp in Thailand! I was lucky enough to work with a mahout and bathe elephants everyday for a week.
3. I participated in a student led trip to New Orleans in high school where I learned about social justice with and from my peers - this really influenced how I want to live in our world and how I want to learn.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love talking to people to learn about them, their lives, culture and views and to share what I have learned from my own experiences - but all that intellectual stuff aside, I can cook some really delicious rosemary-sea salt potato chips. I'll cook them for you!
