Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To understand the world a little more. Or a lot more, depending on levels of optimism and bewilderment.
ABOUT ME
Originally from the Isle of Man, I moved to France at the age of 18 to complete my undergraduate degree. After that I spent a few months in London before moving back home to save up for my MA in Journalism, which I'm now finishing at Goldsmiths.
I'm a language enthusiast, though can only claim interest over proficiency in anything other than English and (when I'm in the right mood) French.
I'm joining a newspaper as a trainee subeditor (or copy editor, if you're American) in September so am looking to make the most of my last long summer! Austria, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands are all on my to-do list...
PHILOSOPHY
Always be kind to strangers, lest they be angels in disguise.
(Admittedly not mine: pinched wholesale from Shakespeare & Co. in Paris)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing a family of elephants silhouetted against the Ugandan sunrise. Also, being at Bastille the night the French election results 2012 were announced.
Teach, Learn, Share
If English isn't your first language (or even if it is) I can knock any writing of yours into shape grammatically/structurally/spellingly.
