About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel the world, meet strangers and eat good food. What else could you want?
ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Emma and I'm originally from a tiny little town in the state of Washington named White Salmon I currently live in Seattle where I am studying Medical Anthropology and Global Health at the University of Washington. I am also minoring in Spanish, and studied abroad in Cadiz, Spain. I backpacked through Europe for 6 months in 2014 and now I'm backpacking in Central America.
I'm a very curious, passionate, optimistic person who loves learning about the world, culture and new people. My hobbies include yoga, hiking, reading and kiteboarding. I love trying new foods and the beach is my favorite place to be, I love the ocean. I've been a vegetarian for 11 years now. I would describe myself as poised, mature, driven, intelligent and hardworking. My prior travel experience includes spending half my childhood living in Mexico with my family, and traveling in Ecuador, Northern Europe, Spain, Morocco, and now Central America!
PHILOSOPHY
I once read a children's book which said "Life is a bowl of spaghetti." And as simple as that is, I never forgot it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch movies very often, I'd much rather read and use my own imagination. Music is a blessing and I appreciate most all genres. I wish desperately I could play an instrument and will love listening to you if you do!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
That is what stories in person are for!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm starting a notebook full of quotes. Whenever I read or hear something that resonates with me, whether it be funny, or beautiful, or wide, I add it to my book. Maybe you can help me add a quote!
Countries I’ve Lived In
Ecuador, Mexico, Spain, United States
