ABOUT ME

I'm spontaneous, friendly, love spending time with my friends, making new ones and experiencing new things. I love to get into a good pithy conversation about anything and love to be challenged and to learn. I'm more likely to be the last one up at a party than the first one to arrive, as I'm usually a bit late for things . . . But I hope my friends would also tell you that I'm dependable in other ways, as I'm loyal, supportive and will always step up in a crisis.

Interests

I've recently got massively addicted to swing and blues dancing and am using them as new excuses to travel around the UK and other countries, as much as possible! I'm also an archaeologist and have travelled for excavations to places as diverse as Easter Island and Georgia (the one in the Caucasus, not the US).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Waking up on a bus at dawn and seeing the absolute dryness and alien landscape of the Atacama desert for the first time; eating wild bilberries on the Patagonian slopes of the Torres del Paine national park and seeing a flight of about 10 condors swoop across the path 20m ahead of me; getting a puncture in my hired bicycle in the paddy fields near Ninh Binh in Vietnam and being helped by lovely people who fixed it in about 2 minutes and charged me about 20p; getting rinsed at s**thead by a 10-year-old in a homestay near a Buddhist temple above a beautiful sacred lake in Sikkim.
