About Me

ABOUT ME

My friends and family would say that I am passionate about everything I do, and that I love to travel. Seeing new places and meeting new people are very important to me. I also love food and wine, and am an avid cook. When I can, I cook and love to invite people over. When I'm traveling, I like to try as much good food and wine as I can (and often spend lots of time seeking out a particular cafe or restaurant when I'm visiting a new place). I like to learn new languages and am an easy-going, confident traveler. I'm also very honest and loyal, and I've known many of my best friends since childhood.

Interests

I am passionate about food and wine, and want to pursue a career in them! I also love dancing tango (or just dancing in general), practicing yoga, traveling, reading, spending time with my family and friends, and learning new languages. I spend a lot of my time traveling searching out food and wine gems, although I also love visiting museums, churches, castles, and any other places with art. People make my life engaging, and traveling makes it even more exciting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love art and art history, but it amazes me how strongly certain pieces can surprise and affect you in person. Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus" and Klimt's "The Kiss" were two paintings I did not care for much until I saw them in person--and then I couldn't move from where I was standing. You only get the opportunity to see pieces like this through travel!

I took a gap year and lived in Italy for part of it. Traveling around I often stayed with friends I knew through dancing tango, or even through friends of their that I'd never met. The generosity I experienced from everyone left me awestruck and humbled (and it's largely how I learned Italian).

I love to cook and am studying wine. Cooking for people and seeing them enjoy it and sit around talking with everyone at the table, taking a moment from their busy lives, makes me happier than words can express :)
