About Me
Namasté my friend!
Matea, 22, half Italian half Croatian. When I was 18, I took a gap year and moved to the Netherlands to work as an au pair. I loved the country so much I've decided to stay there (till who knows when?).
I'm studying European Law at Maastricht University, in the south of the Netherlands. At the moment I'm an exchange student in Lund, Sweden, for half a year.
People say I'm sociable, easy going and bubbly. I'm a person who is up for pretty much anything, from just chatting with a coffee or a beer, to going out and partying.
I do my best to truly enjoy life everyday and live with no regrets. I try to become a better person everyday (at least a little bit :) ).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Moving and travelling really made me a better person. Meeting many different people from all over the globe gives you many more points of views and ideas, so I think this is the right place to continue this tradition!
GUEST:
At the moment I'm more focused on traveling around and discovering Scandinavia while I'm here in Sweden, so I'd love to be a guest on your couch! People say I'm a pretty good cook and I'm fun to have around :)
HOSTING:
At the moment, I can't host since I don't really have much space in my little student room here in Sweden and I will be travelling a lot myself. But maaaybe, if you really need a couch and you're really cool, I might make an exception :)
Interests
I like to be involved in different projects and activities, such as volunteering, student associations, etc. I used to volunteer in an association as the contact person for various NGO's in South America.
Painting, drawing and photography are some of my hobbies. I truly enjoy being creative! Most of the time, I try to do the same in the kitchen, so I make up new recipes.
I love music, any kind really, however I'm sadly not that talented. Enjoy dancing as well!
