ABOUT ME
I am living the life of a permi-student
PHILOSOPHY
If you can't get the microcosm of your life in order, how can you expect the rest of the world to achieve any kind of balance?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I tend to meet up with people and arrange explorations in unfamiliar cities or places, or have coffee...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've done more surfing than hosting, but hopefully will get the time to change that eventually!
Interests
I have a lot of random half-pursued interests, which can be generalised as: listening to and sometimes playing music; reading books about the end of the world, academic wankery, or urban ruins; the Internet; making stuff; cooking stuff (including hand pulled noodles!); watching stuff (mostly TV series); eating stuff (pretty much everything I can get my hands on). Walking places (on canals, in ruins, around the city...). Dreaming about walking places. Taking bad photo's of falling-down-things.

Music, Movies, and Books
This would be a long list. It is easier to state what I am least interested in:
In terms of music: I don't like most dance/rave/techno music, I dislike a lot of popular country music and popular Rap/RnB music (especially where women are tarting around in hot pants).
I am not a fan of most mainstream pop, although I can become irrationally obsessed with the odd catchy tune/artist such as Madonna. Or Gaga.
I am skeptical about certain kinds of pretentious contemporary fiction, film, and art, and in love with others.
If it means something, says something, makes a statement, or makes me mad or sad, I probably like it (and will probably ramble incoherently about it).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Large-scale urban decay in Berlin, Detroit, Chernobyl, Paris, Sydney... you get the idea. Not really ONE thing, but one category of thing :P
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook (but not bake), and I am always happy to work out a song on any instrument you like, although I am not really good enough to teach much more than tuning and chords on the guitar.
I have a lot of odd research skills - from software to techniques that I could always pass on if you're in need...
I am starting to become a bit of an expert on moving to the UK from elsewhere.
