Hi guys. My name is Emmet. I am from the Republic of Ireland. I've been travelling South America for the last 6 month's and want to stay in Medellin for a few weeks at least (maybe longer). As this is the longest I've planned on staying in one place, I would like to couchsurf. I've met many people on my travels who have couch surfed and I hear it is a great experience. And I would like to improve my Spanish which is still basic. I am a very respectful and clean person to live with.
I am also a very friendly person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I've heard alot about it on my travels in the last 6 months and it would be a totally new experience for me. And I love meeting new people and making new friends.

Interests

Playing drums, playing guitar and singing, working out in the gym, jogging, swimming and generally keeping fit, cooking, socialising and meeting new people, travelling (obviously😜)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music.....where do I start. I have a very varied taste in music. Rock, metal, alternative, reggae, rap/hip hop, electronic basically everything except country & western.

Favourite book is "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle

Movie's.... Avatar, Donnie Brasco, Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Apocalypto and I love a good documentary

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've skydived, bungee jumped, scuba dived, partied a lot in my younger days.

I've seen some amazing places, Iguazu falls, Perito Moreno Glacier, Mount Fitz Roy, Atacama desert, Uyuni salt flats, Lake Titicaca, Death road, Machu Picchu, Rainbow mountain, The summit of Chichani volcano, Amazon jungle, great barrier riff and the list goes on.

Teach, Learn, Share

I play guitar and drums so if you'd like to learn either of them I'd be more than willing to teach. (But unfortunately I don't don't have a guitar as I gave it to a Peruvian friend of mine, and I'm not carrying a drum kit😂))
I have a good knowledge of health and fitness as I've been a training and working out in gym's half my life and have a big interest in that. Also my brother is a personal trainer and I've learned much from him, so if you need a training partner. I'm more than willing. I've started using the free outdoor gyms in Medellin (love them 👊)
And off course I speak English. And want to improve my Spanish.
