I'm a burgeoning traveler about to embark on my first big trip.

I'm generally a happy-go-lucky kind of person who looks on the bright side of life at every opportunity. Once I leave the house there's a smile on my face and I'm ready to have fun and enjoy life!

I have come to couch surfing to open my mind and eyes to new countries from a local perspective of the places I visit.

I also hope to share the flavor of where I'm living with anyone I happen to host.

I also enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and climbing, although I'm yet to do the latter outdoors!

As far as movies and music go I'm kind of a generic guy, I don't have hugely strong opinions either way but will enjoy most forms of live music and watch any kind of film.

As for books, I'm a reading addict. Reading is one of the things I do the most bar sleeping and eating. I love the classics from long ago right up to modern fiction. I also enjoy trying out new kinds of literature and have recently really begun to enjoy reading books from authors from different cultures than my own. In particular South American and African authors! I find he joy of reading is taking part in a world so totally different from the one I inhabit.

I once got 63 M&M's into my mouth without choking. That was pretty amazing.

The most amazing thing I have seen so far was the Ice Fishing Festival in Gangwon-Do Korea last winter.

Teach:
I can teach English, and maybe a few words of Irish but I prefer to just talk and make friends in order to 'teach' English. :) I could also show you what little I know of any of the skills I've picked up along the way!

Learn:
I have so much to learn from the culture and language of the places I visit to new skills. I love to learn new things and discuss new ideas with people. I'll try almost anything once.
