ABOUT ME

We are traveling the world, looking for amazing sights, interesting people and fun times. Alex is also hoping to find and crown "the most interesting side street/alleyway on earth". As a general rule, we like to let things happen naturally. By that I mean we get the most enjoyment from the experiences that simply come our way in an unplanned fashion, and we seldom feel pressured to run around like headless chickens trying to see all the sights and "do everything". In fact, the best times of our life so far have occurred on days when we set out with no plans at all, other than to go for a stroll or a quiet beer.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment we are very new to couchsurfing and have no home, so we are simply travelling and enjoying the phenominal hospitality we have encountered through this website. We are looking forward to the time when we have a place of our own to return the same warm welcomes we have received.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Every couchsurfing experience we have had so far has been very positive, to say the least. When our friend Ade told us about the website we were initially skeptical. "Go to a strangers house? Someone you met on the internet? Surely that can't be safe? The world is full of Murderers, perverts and rapists!" I guess modern media has filled our heads with some very negative ideas about people in general.
Of course, we have more faith in the human race than the average tabloid journalist, so we gave it a try. And, as you all probably know, couchsurfing is one of the best things the (often demonised) internet has spawned in a very long time. The people we have met have really been amazing, and the times we have enjoyed together equally so. If you ever doubted the existance of basic human decency, couch surfing is your cure.

Interesses

We both love exploring, trekking, meeting new people, socializing, taking photographs, shopping and eating out. Alex loves skateboarding and has been skating for as long as we have been together, he also loves music and reading and drawing/painting. I like shopping, reading, gymnastics, music, tattoo art. I also love to plan!
