ABOUT ME
I would like to think that my friends would tell you that I am kind, friendly, outgoing, smart and fun. I'm pretty easy-going, and prefer to just go with the flow, unless there's really a major issue. Some of my friends would tell you that I'm too easy-going or too nice, that I love everything and dislike nothing - while that's not entirely true (a bit of an exaggeration - I'm easy going, not a doormat!) I do generally see the good in a situation over the bad.
PHILOSOPHY
"The only difference between the saint and the sinner is that every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future." - Oscar Wilde
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As of yet, I've only been a surfer, because I currently live in a dorm, but I've loved every minute of it so far!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My experience with couchsurfing has been fantastic so far, and that's largely because of this amazing, friendly, kind community of people - exactly the type of people you want to surround you in life.
Interests
I like to go out and explore and have adventures, but I am equally happy staying in and watching a movie or playing board games, or just hanging out with my friends. I really love music and movies, and books, but I also love playing outdoors, hiking, kayaking, exploring new places.

Music, Movies, and Books
All of them!! I love pretty much every type of music (perhaps with the exception of heavy death metal...) and I love experiencing music in it's many forms. And I have always loved reading books and watching movies - I've always loved a good story.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. Seeing my first Van Gogh (his Sunflowers) at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I've since been to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam twice now, but there's nothing like seeing that first piece of art that you loved in books for the first time in real life.
2. On my second archaeological field school, at an excavation in Chillicothe, Ohio, pulling out of the ground a piece of 2000 year old pottery. Holding something that old and that fragile that hasn't been held in human hands four thousands of years since the hands that used it? That'll leave you awestruck.
3. Hopefully something that'll happen in the next few months of my study abroad ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I think that everyone has something special to tell or share, and I think that one of the best ways to gain perspective and knowledge and happiness as a person is to share those things.
As far as teaching and learning practically, I can certainly help people with the English language, and I would love to improve my Spanish skills. Whatever knowledge I have is at your disposal. Also, I'd kinda like to learn how to play guitar :)
