ABOUT ME

I am currently a junior at Boston College who is studying abroad in Madrid, Spain at Saint Louis University - Madrid. I am a Human Developments major with a minor in sociology. How culture impacts a person's development is really interesting to me and I enjoy learning about other cultures and places. I have always loved to travel. I consider myself a native Texan, even thought I moved there when I was one years old. I grew up in The Woodlands, Texas - just 45 minutes north of Houston. I decided to go to school in Boston to get out of my everyday surroundings and experience a different way of life but my heart will always remain in Texas. I have one older sister and many cats and one dog. I love animals.

PHILOSOPHY

I strive to live my life agapically... Agape is a greek word that means love. The greeks believed there are three different types of love. Agapic love is to be self-gift or self-sacrifice. I like to live my life in service of others. I really like to stay positive and surround myself with positive and happy people. I am a true "Southerner" and I like to be a host/take care of people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since I am studying abroad and living with a host family right now, I am unable to offer my couch. I hope to travel while I am in Europe and Couch surf myself. I hope to someday, when I return to the United States, offer my couch to visiters and return the hospitality.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had any CouchSurfing experiences. I heard about CouchSurfing through my friend Colleen who offered her couch while she was in the PeaceCorps in Morocco.
