About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Missions are dull, more fun to just go where life takes you.

ABOUT ME

All about me, hmmmmmmm. I am sort of an enigma, I live my life finding ways to avoid being tied down, and I manage doing so fairly well. I am a free spirit, I operate on my own schedule, I go where I please, when I wish. A avid fan of good music, good food, good friends, the miracle equation to a good time.Been traveling since last November on some
epic quest to find a new place to call home for myself,
my wife person, and our kiddo, and our cat.

PHILOSOPHY

If life hands you a crap sandwich, eat it with a smile, its probably just vegemite anyways....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now all I can do is couch surf, though in the future when I have a couch of my own I would love to share it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been wandering since last November, first I was in Washington, then Colorado, now Oregon, about to be in North Carolina. Surfing is fun!

Hosted a few parties and met a few other surfers. Should have a couch of my own soon to host people.

Interests

Freegan at heart, born in the wrong time period, closet case hippy. Food junky definitely, cant get enough food. Especially food from the far corners of the globe, can tell more about a culture through their food then any written language. Enjoy anything outdoors, photography, hiking, floating down a slow moving river on a sunny spring day. Did I mention food? I love to cook, the more people I am cooking for the happier I am.

Music, Movies, and Books

Frank Herbert fan, though Brian Herbert did a great job translating some of the old mans manuscripts. Gotta have some Kurt Vonnegut. Music, anything indie, The Shins, Stereophonics, Death Cab, Fleet Foxes, so on so forth, toss in some Wilco, Smog, Iron and Wine, Cat Power, Tori Amos, anything singer songwriter type. Movies, you name it, big Jos Whedon fan, amongst other sci fi movies. Toss in some old Clint Eastwood, mix in Cool Hand Luke and you summed it up nicely.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was traveling on a Greyhound bus cross country when I was a kid, hadn't eaten in 5 days. I was in some town in the middle of a nowhere with a 1 hour layover. Was sitting there watching people go buy, obviously looking fairly emaciated when some lady walked up to me and asked if I was hungry, to which I replied yes, I haven't eaten in days. She pulled a can of chili and a couple old stale buns out of her bag and told me it was the last of her food, and she would be honored if I would partake in it with her.

Teach, Learn, Share

Live life to the fullest. Don't make silly excuses why you can't truly enjoy yourself. Excuses are like assholes, everyone has one. =)
