About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel hard, see the world, meet some friends along the way.
ABOUT ME
I've finished up my second year at the University of Washington where I'll be graduating with a History and Linguistics major. I love playing sports (football/soccer, ultimate frisbee, and basketball). I enjoy studying languages and history (hence, my majors :) ). Also, I just spent the summer backpacking through Europe and have recently finished studying in Granada, Spain.
PHILOSOPHY
Be yourself; live life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've found plenty of people to meet across Europe through CS, and have used a few couches as well!
Moscow with Bob Gally (16-20 August 2009)
Stockholm with Qiangqiang Tai (28 July 2009)
As soon as I get a flat in Granada, I plan to start the 'hosting' side of things.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm still new to CS, but I found much joy in meeting people through it all over the world. First in Moscow I had the opportunity to not just get to know my host, but an entire network of CS folk. We made dinner together and explored Moscow. I ran into some CS people in Greece, spending the day with them, and was hosted again in Stockholm
Interests
Can't get enough sports: Football (soccer), Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball. Enjoy seeing new things, reading, philosophizing (aka: daydreaming), and meeting people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: anything Dickens, Dumas, or Dostoyevksy. Favorite move is probably The Last Samurai. I also recently discovered the brilliance of Josef Conrad.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen the Pyramids of Egypt, traveled the Andes Mountains of Peru, rode a mule down into the Grand Canyon, walked the ashen streets of Pompeii in Italy, and floated through the Norwegian fjords.
Teach, Learn, Share
While in Ohrid, Macedonia, I recall talking with this Australian-Macedonia guy who pointed out, as I showed him my photos of a month of European travels, that the places I stayed longest and the locations with the most vivid and delightful memories were not the sites where I saw things, but the times I met people. I think he's right: that's what it's all about!
