ABOUT ME

I teach English and enjoy traveling around.

I spent most of my life in Minnesota in the U.S. It's cold, but it's home. I grew up in a small town of about 5,000 people. I now live in Taiwan with my wife. I spend time when I'm not in class reading, doing some light exercise, and homebrewing.

I love to cook and visit temples, so let me know if you'd like to do either.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted more than I've surfed and I'm hoping to keep it that way, well into the future. Let me know if you are in the area at least and I'll gladly show you around or meet up for drinks. I know my way around a kitchen so if you want to bring some food, I'll find a way to cook it. along with a bit of my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed in the Philippines and Japan. I've also had surfers from Japan, America, and Singapore. I put together a CS Moon Festival BBQ and Halloween Party and had such a good time and met so many nice people that I can't wait to host another CS Event.

Intereses

Trekking, Cooking, Music, Writing. Homebrewing. I'd gladly go camping if I could find a tent and some supplies.

Música, películas y libros

I enjoy science fiction books and movies, but I'll read or watch just about anything. I like indie music as well as classic rock. I have a ukulele if you want to jam a little while you are here.

Lately, I've been reading a good number of books about Taiwanese culture and history. Let me know if you want a crash course in Taiwanese history.

I know a little bit about Mexican and Italian food.

I've been studying Chinese for a few months now and I'm happy to teach you a few phrases of Practical Chinese. If you already know Chinese, I'm always up for a little language exchange.
