I'm an undergraduate student at Bogazici University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. In addition to the biology and genetics, I'm interested in literacy and fine arts. Since I try to keep my cultural background up, despite it is done slowly, I read plenty of books, articles and especially blogs. Actually, I would rather reading personal blogs and blogs about painting inspite of that I have no talent of painting. Yet I have talent of playing instruments a a little, I play flute. I also like taking photographs. However, I have no camera except my phone's. I have IPhone 6 and its camera is very good but I prefer taking photographs with professional cameras. Sometimes, I use an analogue camera of my friend. I would like to buy an analogue camera and a dslr one and travel around the world on my vacations even though I never did.

I want to see all around the world, especially Europe and know new people. Since I live in dormitory, I cannot accept people unfortunately.

Intereses

In science, I'm interested in biology and genetics. I wonder about evolution, microbiology (especially virology), epigenetic and neuroscience. I'm also interested in psychology but I haven't taken any course about it academically. Except science, I love art. I prefer words than the visual composition when I do; however, I like all kind of them. Actually, I'm bad at painting but I think I am good at photography a little bit. Additionally, I've play the flute since 2009. Also I like visiting exhibitions, watching movies in cinema and listening music at concerts. I love French language so much. That's all I can remember about me.

Música, películas y libros

I love the directors Xavier Dolan, Pierre Garrel, Hayao Miyazaki, Zeki Demirkubuz and Nuri Bilge Ceylan so much. I think I have no favourite film but nowadays, I would probably choose The Tribe (dir. Miroslav Slaboshpitsky), Pride (dir. Matthew Warchus) and Mommy (dir. Xavier Dolan) from all of movies I ever watched.
In contrast to the movies, I have no habit to watch tv series so much; however, I like to watch Game of Thrones, Hannibal, Sherlock and Sense8.
Of course, I told before so many times, I love reading. When I was young, I started to read with "Of Mice and Men" and I really like it. Steinbeck is one of my favourite authors and the book I mentioned is the best I think. Also I like Haruki Murakami, Dostoyevsky, Hugo and Poe so much. Additionally, I like the series Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings and the Earthsea so much. In addition to these in the fantastic literature, I like the Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss. Also I love Orhan Pamuk who is one of the best authors of Turkey with the Nobel Prize 2006 in literature and Yalçın Tosun who is one of the short-story writers in Turkey. In poetry, I love Shakespeare, Rilke and Rimbaud, internationally poets, in spite of that I cannot read in original language so much. I prefer reading poets in Turkish than in other languages.

I'm also interested in classical music, especially in Baroque era. Chopin is my favourite composer.
