About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting and learning about new cultures

ABOUT ME

I see myself as an easygoing, openminded, friendly and most of the time a funny guy. Most of my friends say me so :)
I like to travel a lot and take several photos. Travelling and meeting new people are the most adored activities in my life.

PHILOSOPHY

My favorite motto is :"Relax and take it easy".
The flow goes whereever it wants to go, whether you resist or try to change its direction. So, go with the flow :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I support couchsurfing by helping couchsurfers from all around the world in my homeland and try to get in contact with the couchsurfers when I travel somewhere in the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a relatively new couchsurfer. On the other hand, I am really trying to improve myself and I am so keen to new couchsurfing experiences.

Interests

I spend most of my free time on traveling and photography. I am also interested in the topics like health&fitness, project management, technology and politics.
My favorite activities are snowboarding, skiing and scuba diving even though I rarely find time to perform them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite movies are The Matrix, Baraka, Devil's Advocate, The Butterfly Effect and Black Swan.
I like listening to Classical Turkish Music, Jazz, and Rock music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm, it is a very difficult question. The first thing which comes to my mind is actually a disgusting one. I regret saying this, but I saw people eating insects "even the big, black ones" on the streets of Thailand and Vietnam. But to be honest, I didnot dare to give a try!

Teach, Learn, Share

Let me tell you something about a traditional play in Turkey. It is called "Karagoz and Hacivat":
Karagöz (meaning blackeye in Turkish) and Hacivat (also written Hacivad) are the lead characters of the traditional Turkish shadow play, popularized during the Ottoman period.
The central theme of the plays are the contrasting interaction between the two main characters: Karagöz represents the illiterate but straightforward public, whereas Hacivat belongs to the educated class, speaking Ottoman Turkish and using a poetical and literary language.
