Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION

Learn something new about my city.

ABOUT ME

"Behold the turtle. He only makes progress when he sticks his neck out."
James Bryant Conant

Here's a silly joke:
Why is 6 afraid of 7? ...? ...? Because 7, 8, 9! hahaha!
That was the only joke I know. It's like Marlin from Nemo, "There was this mollusk..."

Enjoy finding a great bargain when one is around, especially travel bargains. Since being bitten by the travel bug at the Beijing Olympics I haven't looked back since. Thin but when traveling, will eat anything that is new and won't put me in the infirmary.

When I have the opportunity, I'd go to museums especially ones that are related to art and design. When I'm in the mood, I'd start drawing. Party and have a drink with friends every so often or watch a movie at home.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe everyone is smart until he or she proves me wrong.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My CS experience was before signing up with CS. Was in Miami and met a new friend at a hostel. The next day, he went to couch surf with a host. I called that host a few days later, the host welcomed me with open arms, food, wine, and jokes. Since then I have hosted when I had CS friendly roommates. Now, I have mainly been surfing. Surfed in Miami, Mexico, Alaska, and Hawaii.

I no longer live on my own thanks to living in the most expensive city in the world. Looking forward to that day when I get to host again.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Bringing my mom and sister to see the Beijing Olympics.

Couch surfed at a Native American town leader's home near the Arctic Circle. Met him the old fashion way, in person. I survived the Dalton Highway in Alaska and lived to talk about it. I also rode with an Ice Road Trucker half the time. Went the furthest north possible on wheels in US territory and saw the Arctic Ocean.

Cliff dived into the Pacific Ocean at the southern most tip of the United States without really knowing how to swim.

It is amazing how after you've landed at your home airport, you were in a different time zone, world, and culture half way around the Earth just hours before. One day, I hope mankind will be able to say this about different solar systems.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

My English professor taught that when you "open your mouth, you're a fool for a moment. Close your mouth, you're a fool for life."

The same man also said, "Anything done with LOVE can never be embarrassing."

CouchSurfing.org taught me that I spoke Yue. Who knew? I always thought it was Cantonese.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I am fun and open-minded to be around when I am traveling. I can share with you what working at "G o 0 g 1 e" is like. Teach some English if traveling international and share stories of my travel.

I try my best to keep in touch with my CS friends. My goal is to keep friends I meet through CS. It doesn't always work out that way but at the first least, send them a random "I was thinking about you," message once in a while.
