About Me

Hello! My name is Emy (or Amy (english pronounciation), it doesn't matter!). I'm currently living in Paris, France and I'm studying Finnish language at university !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I like to travel, and I want to travel everywhere. I want to live new experiences and share precious moments with people from others cultures.

Interests

I love my cat (cat lover, here we go!), reading books, watching movies and series, making films, cooking, sports (handball and martial arts), and of course travelling. Lately, I like doing origami and all stuffs hand-made. I like walking to discover new and hidden places, I like visiting museums... I'm also really interested in astronomy and astrology things!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like dystopian books such as Divergent, Hunger Games, The Selection... but also 1984 and Animal Farms (Georges Orwell), Fahrenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury). I LOVED reading Lisa See's books (Peony in Love, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, Shanghai Girls). I'm reading both in French and in English :-)

Yes, I'm really fond of dystopy, fantastic and fantasy books.

Thus I also like watching dystopian movies, and also French comedies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leaving home and moving out in Paris without my closest friends and family.

Visiting Chicago.

Leaving Paris and moving out in Cambridge to study.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always ready to learn and share new things! Mmmh, learning new languages (believe me, I really like to do it), talking about our culture so that we can learn from each others (intercultural communications are the best!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cultures, knowledge in intercultural studies, learn new cards games that are funny, teacher Lao language, playing guitar and sing my own songs if wanted haha

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, England, France, Germany, Italy, Laos, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam
