About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Cycling along the Mississippi river
ABOUT ME
I started traveling and living in different countries when I was 19. I consider myself lucky as I was able to travel while studying/working or I always found ways to participate to exchange programs. So it always gave me time to settle down somewhere, to know people, their culture and feel at ease in the country I was living. In the last years I have mainly settle down (Tours France), developed a local restaurant, learn to be a chef and support the business. I quit few months ago and decided to go traveling and live the day.
SO WHAT ABOUT NOW?
I had a dream... (but it was kind of a joke) that one day I would cycle along the Mississippi River. This day is about to happen as I just arrived in Saint Louis (Missouri) where I will start my journey to New Orleans. I am very exited about this coming adventure as I am in love with rivers (and the Mississippi river seems to be the mother of all) and I am very interested about the History that took place and is still happening along this wide and wild river: people, cultures, stories...
I have been travelling for 3 months now in other parts of the world. I arrived 14 days ago in Portland and hitchhiked to San Francisco. I find the USA a great country to travel on my own. I have met so many beautiful people.
So on the road again and this time on a bicycle yeepeeeee ya !!!
PHILOSOPHY
Again it's not very original but this sentence sum up my way of thinking in the daily life: "Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you are going to get". Life is full of surprises so I tend to let myself carry away and very often something/someone beautiful comes along.
I am an happy and easy-going person and all I want is to enjoy what people have to share with me: from ideas, stories, recipes to a simple good moment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment: being a good host and an interesting person to meet, I mean polite, calm, easy going and curious.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started with C.S in my own country with a friend who was a member. Then I had the will to be part of the red and I became one of the many people who think C.S is a great way to know more about people and cultures all over the world. Travelling is always such an experience and I got so happy people accepted to host me sometimes. That was, for the night(s) I stayed there, a place I could call "home" (in the most respectful way you can think about a place called "home")and it felt good.
Interests
I don't want to repeat myself but It's a fact I really enjoy meeting new people and talking (but I guess that is quite a common interest for a couch surfer). Otherwise I love cycling and I very often fell in love with trees and open spaces
I read whenever I can and dream whenever I want.
Something I really enjoy doing during my spare time or at any moment of the day (or night) is cooking. This is often for the greatest pleasure of the people I receive or even for my own stomach.
Music, Movies, and Books
I am mad about movies and some books have changed something in me. I think they are like a really good dive. For the time they last they lead you to other places, they make you wonder how you would react if you had to face the same situations. They are so close sometimes to our reality.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Set up a restaurant and create a all network around it
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning other languages I am always happy to "teach" some french words or maybe talk about the country I come from.
And of course my recipe of the french crepes !!! Delicious !!
Countries I’ve Visited
Cambodia, Jordan, Mali, Nepal, New Zealand, Thailand, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
