ABOUT ME

God, I hate that question. I suck at describing myself. But I'll give it a shot. I am...... weird? I don't know. Definitely not "normal" (even if I don't look it), but in a good way, I promise. I might seem a little stiff and quiet, when you first meet me - naturally awkward person, thank you very much. Kinda funny - I have been known to have my moments. Others usually describe me as (reasonably) "smart", though that may sound conceited.

Interests

I love to read. Hardcovers or paperbacks, novels or short stories, belles-lettres or ethnology lit, manga or comics, it doesn't really matter, as long as I like it. Music is a must. Visiting new places. Planetariums. Oh, and films, definitely films - only subs, never dub.

In the last couple of weeks: Belle et la Bete, Only Lovers Left Alive, Trabantem až na konec světa, hopefully soon Grandhotel Budapest too.
I don't listen to artists but to songs. So I can and have gone from Linkin Park to Pink to Edith Piaf to Chinaski to JEM to Jeff Buckley to Johnny Cash to Lana Del Rey to Seether to Patty Griffin to Of Monsters and Men.
Lately my reading list consists of a lot of Claude Lévi-Strauss.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I managed to survive the bloody near monsoon, that was this year's Carnival of Venice. That's a pretty great feat in my opinion.
