The Experience of being back in the Netherlands!

ABOUT ME

I grew up in a tiny little village at the countryside of the Netherlands. Still it is lovely to go back every now and then in order to get back to myself and see my family... However... on the other hand; I travel as much as I can! Last year I did my Master's in Human Rights which started in Venice Italy. For 2nd semester I was matched with Abo Academy and therefore I could be found in Turku Finland! Let's meet the Moomins!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Open minded, open for new people to meet! Especially confronting myself in the positive sense with new perspectives which broaden my view or let me think and look at things differently.... That doesn't always have to be in the serious way; I love people who really can be crazy, who can be just how they want to be, without feeling restricted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Last year I started with couch surfing traveling through Jordan and Israeland I will be a prof soon! All my surf experiences were unique, with the shared similarity that was created by so much hospitality... Meeting people with whom you perhaps in daily life wouldn't feel immediately connected, you gét connected with just by spending time with each other... listen, ask..
And, By having the fantastic chance of peeking into someone's life a bit. A few examples and a snapshot of my cs experiences: Spending days in the Middle of Nowhere in the Jordan dessert, sleeping in caves and in canyons, tasting a bit of Israeli Kibbutz life, trying to build train networks (unsuccessfully, no patience and no strategical insight, I will never become a machinist...) with a funny board game CS session in the magnificent classical Library of Turku Finland ( I love to spend time there... I love libraries in general; observing people, and being part of such a social meeting point for so many people with different backgrounds...
