I'm an English teacher with a creative side who loves traveling to new places and meeting new people. I love trying new food, visiting new places, seeing art museums and galleries, and sometimes spending the night out making new friends. I'm very low-maintenance and easy to get along with and am totally happy to crash on the couch or the floor, and promise that I clean up after myself and hate to leave messes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling around Europe for a few months and would love to have more than the typical hostel experience. I'm really interested in learning about the deeper aspects of different cultures, trying all kinds of new foods, and meeting new people with experiences different from mine.

Interests

I love trying anything creative, and I've dabbled in music, photography and film. I also love food and trying new things, especially any kind of home cooked food that you can't get in a restaurant. I spend a lot of time reading and am always excited to talk about books and get new recommendations from people, and I LOVE movies. Coffee is a necessity and I drink at least 2 cups a day. I'm also finally trying to learn how to cook, so if you need some help in the kitchen I'd be happy to try to assist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did the Poon Hill trek in Nepal which, while not very difficult by -real- hiking standards, was the hardest hike I've ever done. The view from the top was incredibly rewarding and it is one of my fondest memories.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've spent four years teaching English and am happy to explain or practice any part of the language you might need help with. I love words and language so it's fun for me! I can also give tips about photography, photo editing, and graphic design.
