About Me

Hi everyone! I'm a Spanish guy from Bilbao, in northern Spain, and I recently finished studying History.
I love travelling, as it is the best way to discover deeply new countries, cities, cultures and people. I'm a little bit shy when I met someone for first time, but I become confident and easy-going easily. I enjoy meeting people from around the world, hearing their stories and sharing our experiences, about their travels and/or cultures. I don't what else I can say about me since I think that it's a bit impossible to describe perfectly how I am, I think that it would be better to discover it by yourself and then tell me so I can explain better to other couchsurfers. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel all around the world.
It is time for me to leave the rainy northern Spain and begin to discover what there is beyond the Pyrenees. I decided to enter in CS as a way to make that possible and, at the same time, meet great people and make friends from different countries.
I started making foreign friends while volunteering at my university, helping newly arrived exchange students. They introduced me to CS as a way to continue meeting people from other countries while traveling.

A phrase that I love and summarizes why I'm here:
"At the end of life the decisions that you regret most, are ones that you did not take".

Music, Movies, and Books

Reading books and watching movies are one of my most favorite hobbies in my free time, and especially if they are related to History.

-Music: I cannot say a favourite genre as the music I hear depends on my mood. Bon Jovi, Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael Buble, Maroon 5, Joaquín Sabina, Luis Miguel, Fito y Fitipaldi, Ska-P, Passenger...

-Books: Wolf Hall, Dissolution, The Pillars of the Earth, Fall of Giants, 1984, Memoirs of a Geisha, Trafalgar, El Capitán Alatriste, Africanus el Hijo Del Cónsul.

-Movies: Braveheart, Master and Commander, The Last Samurai, The Patriot, Schindler's List, Downfall, Life Is Beautiful, V for Vendetta, 1898: los Últimos de Filipinas, Pulp Fiction, Coco.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hope that thanks to this webpage I'll have the opportunity to fill out this section. :)

Although in March 2018 I did a roadtrip from southern Saskatchewan (Canada) to the US, crossing North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn everything I'm able during my lifetime, since each travel if a great opportunity to learn and teach something new. Meanwhile I can share my positive mood and stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Spanish culture and I can also try giving a Spanish language lesson. I also speak Basque (euskera), one of the most difficult languages to learn. Apart from that, I can manage well cooking, ask me to cook a tortilla de patata (Spanish omelette).
