About Me

Quite sociable and joyful guy studying English Language Teaching back at home university, Necmettin Erbakan Uni. in Turkey, currently an Erasmus+ student in Łódź, Poland.

I'm not that big of a traveler with crazy stories, however, this is yet the beginning of my adventure. I love expanding my world's map's borders and figuring out the places I've never seen with the aid of a good music, thus making it unforgettable. I have 3 names actually, Enes, Berkay and one being my nickname, Julian.

I've been told that I'm full of life & joy and somehow very lucky because I got to know a lot of people even before coming to Łódź on Erasmus. I think it’s not just all luck because I made opportunities happen. I like socializing a lot and I find it a bit easier than others since I read a bit about psychology, psychoanalysis, and human relations. I find finding the characteristics about the people I've never met, quite interesting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This year is a year of changes for me. I'm trying to break the patterns in my life. So to speak, Erasmus is the cause and while I'm already here, I'd like to travel as many countries, cities, and places as possible. And whilst having this experience, couchsurfing would allow me to meet those who seek the same, exploring more and more people from all different backgrounds.

Music, Movies, and Books

For music, I can talk for hours and hours and it won't be enough. I'm more of an old-classics kinda guy rather than the current music genres. To name some artists and bands; Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Hugh Laurie, Jimi Hendrix, Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Billy Joel, Tom Waits, Jeff Buckley, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Johnny Cash, Kansas, The Scorpions, Aerosmith and so on.

Movies and books: Very arbitrary and widespread so to speak.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meeting with musicians from all over the globe and sharing traditional compositions & jamming with them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm really into cooking recently, but mostly in my mind. I need to put it into action, so I could learn some tips and tricks from those who can.

I could teach some music/instruments, acapella, and my traditions.

I could share some of the unforgettable memories and experiences so far in Erasmus.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could share my most known two qualities:

1. Sociable skills of a guy who's down to earth and full of joy
2. Musical skills: I'm bringing my ukulele with me to everywhere I travel. (It's the instrument I'm currently learning.) I mainly can play the acoustic, classic, bass and electric guitar, the piano and the drums. I also like singing very much but I can't really speak for the audience, haha. I play songs by requests, we could drink and sing and share our memories and make some quality time.
