I am always curious which generally means I have a repository of random information (great for trivia nights!) and will always be down for an adventure. I am also usually hungry, which brings me to the next part of what I love - food. In fact, the fondest memories I have usually involve amazing conversation, delicious food and some form of mischief.

The question "why?" or why not?" is probably what I ask all the time pertaining to what most perceive as the norm. In my world, I live to create and make the impossible, possible. I love working in tech because I believe that we are at the forefront of helping to create and/or shape the future into a better, more positive, empowered place for future generations. I believe in being kind, and I hope to always leave someone in a better place than when I first found them, even for a brief fleeting moment.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music preferences are pretty eclectic and pretty mood based. I grew up on a daily diet of English alternative rock bands like Blur, Suede, Coldplay, Oasis, The Killers, Gorillaz and then switched to classical music when I started playing the flute in a band. My housemate threw me into the hip hop deep end in college... to the point where I wrote a paper on the evolution of hip hop through the ages from urban poetry to bitches and 'hos today. Progressive house is my go-to when I am working, but I'll listen to anything from indie pop to jazz and Broadway showtunes on my downtime.

I am generally drawn to movies and TV shows with whipsmart irreverent dialogue ... like Pulp Fiction, Archer, Boston Legal, Rick & Morty, Futurama etc. I also enjoy those that explore dysfunctional characters like The Royal Tenenbaums and Arrested Development as well as dystopian worlds like Black Mirror and Westworld.

I read everything from tech blogs and business autobiographies to art history, design and architecture, but my greatest love is fantasy because it allows me to escape to an amazing world of someone else's imagination (Harry Potter, Sandman and Discworld). I am also a huge fan of elegant prose and twisted stories, so Oscar Wilde, Roald Dahl and Neil Gaiman are right up there on my list of favourite authors.

I have skydived, hiked Tigers Nest in Bhutan, started a company, moved countries ... but I think the best is yet to be.
