About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To taste culture from all over the world and all walks of life
ABOUT ME
I am a passionate traveler who appreciates learning through experiences, especially social ones. I've seen so much of the world and danced amongst so many cultures and yet there is always more. My travels have slowed significantly from the six months a year abroad to being more attracted to creating community here in Portland, I still really enjoy a good adventure though. Cooking is a family pastime that continues in me, love to cook with or for hosts. In Portland I host a ton of dinner parties and other events, hike and backpack as much as I can, dance all the time, sing in my car as loud as I can, and try to avoid the couch at all costs!
PHILOSOPHY
"YOU CANNOT DO A KINDNESS TO SOON, FOR YOU NEVER KNOW HOW SOON WILL BE TO LATE"

For masculinity (It's what my thesis is on) - Bly, Meade, J. Campbell etc. I can't get enough Tom Robbins, wish the dude would write another book! I also appreciate Rumi! One of the best and hardest books you'll ever read, A Fine Balance, good luck with that!

We'll save that for a good conversation!
Teach, Learn, Share
Some quotes that mean a lot to me!
Once upon a time I wanted to know what love was. Love is there if you want to be, you just have to see that it’s rapped in beauty and hidden away between the seconds of your life. If you don’t stop for a minute, you might miss it.
"To be shaken out of the ruts of ordinary perception, to be shown for a few timeless hours the outer and the inner world, not as they appear to an animal obsessed with words and notions, but as they are apprehended, directly and unconditionally, by Mind at Large-This is the experience of inestimable value to everyone."
free your mind and your ass will follow or free your ass and your mind will follow, what ever suits your needs ;-)
when the artist is alive in any person, whatever his kind of work may be, he becomes an inventive, searching, daring, self-expressive creature. He becomes interesting to other people. He disturbs, upsets,
enlightens and opens ways for better understanding. where those who are not artist are trying to close the book, he opens it and shows there are still more pages possible.....
