About Me
My name is Andy, I'm 25 and after 5 years of working as a Lecturer for Chinese Medicine and tutor for Martial Arts, I decided to move to Brazil in the beginning of 2016.
I currently work as an english teacher, teaching both privately and in a school in Sao Jose dos Campos. I love the Brazilian way of life! The bbqs, the weather, the nature, and have decided that I will stay for at least another year to continue learning Portuguese and enjoying all the beauty that this country has to offer!
I love reading, singing, watching movies and nights in a bar or restaurant. I would always prefer a night in or at the beach with a few beers and friends than a loud nightclub any day of the week.
I love to cook (cooking skills included in my stay! :D ) and talking over a long dinner. I have four brothers, and am the only one to move away from home. Im a pretty clean and organised guy, and have lived with other families collectively for over 4 years in three different families.
I lived in the house of a Chinese Family where I studied Chinese Medicine and Philosophy, Acupuncture and Kung Fu. I would wake up at 6:30am, train until 8, and repeat again in the evening. It still is the one of the greatest things I've ever done, and I still practice to this day.
I love to explore and meet new people, and couchsurfing offers me a great way to meet and delve into other cultures. Send me a message or check out my pictures to know more about me!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would always prefer couch surfing and staying with a great host, to sitting alone in a hotel by myself. When in another country, i think its impossible to create great stories and connections with people, without living with other like minded individuals.
I lived with a french family for two weeks when I was just 15 in La Rochelle, and since then, Ive always compared my experience in a country to that trip.
I pride myself on walking off the normal path that most people make, because I think thats where the magic of travelling really is! :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once swam to a remote waterfall in freezing cold waters at the caution of our guide in Croatia. Barely making it to the rocks at the bottom, its still one of the greatest moments of my life!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning and teaching others about self awareness and self love, as well as discussing music all with a beer and great people! :D

Great cooking, conversation and rude jokes are all available! Haha!
