Overview
About Me
Former rabble-rouser who's settled down a bit. Work full-time for an affordable housing nonprofit, and just finished two very intense years of grad school on top of it. Looking for the next step. whatever that may be.
My life's been extremely busy and routine for the last couple of years, and now I'm entering a period of having free time again. I'd like to spend more of that time doing new things and traveling. I always enjoy meeting new people, learning new ideas, or having a good debate.
So far this year I've managed to travel around Europe, and soon I'll be in Mexico City for another adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined CS in it's infancy; my account is mostly a legacy at this point, but I used to use it somewhat actively and met a lot of wonderful people along the way. I'm glad it still exists in this Airbnb-saturated world, even if it's not what it used to be anymore.
Interests
Oh, just the meaning of life and all that. I care about progressive politics and social issues but after spending a good chunk of my 20's involved in various forms of activism, I'm mostly an observer and critical voice at this point.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Way back in high school - after a long, brutal march nearly straight up into the sky on a hot, sweltering summer day, I played hack-e-sack on the great wall of China. And it rocked. Then a guy dressed up as a 'traditional' barbarian invader tried to get me to pay for a picture of him. The costume was amazing, but I knew the $5 he was asking for to be a particularly high price.
