Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to show you the parts of North Holland I'm proud of. Let me take you to the coast built by our ancestors. I dare you to realize being below sea level in this part of Holland.

And let's cook together the end of the day...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This was no actual COUCHsurfing, but I went to have a drink with Hanoian DJ Tri Minh, spent two lovely days with Andrew/Minh in Hai Phong - eating local delicacies like spiced snails.. One afternoon with Hoang in harbour city Hai Phong and while spending time with them, whom I met through CS, I met other couchsurfers too!
Really good experiences!

In Hobart-Tasmania I surfed at a shared student hub. Baking them Dutch cookies (caramelized 'kletskoppen') and going for a jog together where I would usually go alone!

Then I surfed in Graz-Austria and got 'seated' (integrated) in a cozy Austrian family dinner and talked on and on with my host;

At the moment I am hosting couchsurfers from all over the globe.

When I was living with the Greatest Greek couple (zoi.sokratis.margeti), these roommates hosted people from all around Europe in our shared flat, like Lithuania and France.

A French guest even got to join me and my Greek housemates, their dog Alma in - can you think of anything better - a Nissan Micra(!) from Holland all the way to Greece.. how cool becomes life with CS?

Interests

Things that really grab my attention are: Behavior of people - the (sustainable, future) economy - individuality of persons - food facts - history - cultures + languages + dialects - anthroposophy - the importance of art in the world - free, open-minded people - to be continued..
