About Me

I was born and raised in Barcelona but moved to Santiago de Chile in November 2015. I'm living and working in Santiago but traveling around Chile and other South America countries when I can.
I'm a humble, relaxed person, who enjoys listening and learning from others rather than bragging and being the center of attention. And joking, I like joking and good sense of humor.
I do not smoke but I am always in for getting out for a drink.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that the best way to get to know a place is to meet locals. The lack of an economic profit for any of the parts makes it an honest exchange.

Interests

I'm more or less interested in every branch of culture: art, design, film, literature, history... but when it comes to traveling to new cities I prefer walking around or enjoying local food than spending the day in a museum.
I also enjoy a good hiking or day at the beach every now and again but I would say I am quite a urban person.
Amongst my hobbies are playing bass and guitar in rock bands.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big rock and metal music fan, but I also like blues, some jazz and reggae but I always enjoy a good live show of any kind.
Amongst my favorite movies you may find Fargo, Big Lebowsky, Rosemary's Baby, Alien, Pulp Fiction and... Jurassic Park!
I'm also a big series addict.... The Knick, Game of Thrones, The Bridge, True Detective.
When it comes to reading I'm more into essays and history books rather than novels, but now I'm into Chilean literature, like Bolaño, Lemebel, Neruda and Galeano.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was bored in a stupid and boring job in an advertising agency so I decided to move to Chile to improve other professional skills and change my career towards illustration while knowing a different culture.

In February 2014 I spent 10 days in a wood cabin in the middle of Lapland observing the Northern Lights, having saunas and playing in the snow.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always willing to learn foreign costumes and traditions, language and gastronomy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my catalan and spanish culture and my experiences around Europe, where I have done most of my travels.

I am not a skilled cook but for sure I can make a tasty tortilla de patatas!
