About Me

I think it's really hard to describe one's self but I'll try my best!

Coming from a Catholic family I used to have a pretty strict traditional education until I spent one year abroad as an exchange student. That was my first big trip and it really opened up my mind, especially since I ended up in California, which is pretty much a conglomerate of every single culture in the world. It actually took me a couple years to start to understand that change and I feel like I'll always be in the process of realizing more and more what it actually meant. Since then I am a traveler and I go back to Cali whenever I can (I'm here right now for a friend's wedding :P)

I'm always trying to learn new things, facts and activities; I'm working on being as much self-sufficient as possible so that my relationships can be based on pure pleasure and joy and nothing else.

I'm a western medical student but I think that anything that can make a person feel better should be included in that field, whether it's a pill, a prayer or simply a smile. That's why I'm also studying "alternative" approaches and different healing methods. I'm not religious but definitely spiritual.

My life goal is to see my limits and transcend them; I do my best to focus on converging points rather than differences. Every situation is neutral, good and bad are qualities that we assign to it so might as well realize what's good, learn your lesson and keep moving forward.

I'm from Sardinia, an island in the middle of the Mediterranean sea you should definitely visit!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people and traveling. The way I see it, a person is a unique expression of different experiences, each telling his own story through the language they speak, the way they move, think and act and every time I meet a stranger I'm exploring a new world

Interests

-traveling, obviously
-martial arts, parkour, swimming and sports in general
-speed and motion, with motorbikes, longboard or just running
-science and consciousness
-agriculture and gardening
-animals
-learning
-diy projects, building stuff

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is our soul's purest expression! Any kind is good but I especially listen to most forms of rock, metal and classical

I'm into scientific books regarding physics and quantum mechanics, biology and esoterism, especially if they combine these and other fields. Anyhow the best book I've read still remains "uno, nessuno, centomila" by Luigi Pirandello and the book that changed the way I think is "how your thoughts influence your DNA and every cell" by Bruce Lipton

So many movies to suggest! I tend to be more open in this section, I'd watch any type: the ones I can think of right now are The usual suspects, Mr. Nobody, Hot rod, Reservoir dogs, Old boy, Old school... and on and on

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd have to say spending a month in a Chinese martial arts academy training with the monks, such a ground shaking experience

Teach, Learn, Share

Everyone is both a teacher and a student. I have a hard time calling "professor" the person that teaches me new stuff at my university because that puts so much distance between us and furthermore he/she is more experienced than me in that specific field, while I could teach him/her different things I know. Life is all about sharing knowledge and growing together helping each other.
