I am Enrico, from Milan. Despite my country of origin I've never fit too much there. This gave me the opportunity to search for other cultures and other places. Not necessarily in search for the right one (if there is one) but more to seek what I like the most from all the places I can visit. After high school I moved to Melbourne, Australia where I learnt how to live with both myself and the Ozzies, after two years I moved to Utrecht, in the Netherlands, where I recently graduated and I understood that bikes and sun help make my life happier.
I spent some time in Deutschland, first Munich for an exchange experience and then Bonn for an internship.

From September a new challenge will start. I'll be in Valencia for a Spanish course and to learn more about the beutiful Espańa.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I started couch-surfing during a trip from Utrecht, Netherlands to Beijing, China passing through the transiberian railway across Russia.

I discovered that not only as a poor student who cannot afford the Four Season hotel all the times this is a cheaper option, but, most importantly, I had the chance to meet people who actually live in the place and have a complete different experience than an "average" tourist.

Intereses

I could pretend that wine is my passion but that is not true, I love beers too. I could say that I love swimming, which is true. But at the end what interests me the most is the ability to connect with people. And in the time I learnt that language is the last of them.

Oh, and I forgot to say that I find squirrels very funny animals...

Música, películas y libros

I like different music styles, from Reggae to Jazz passing through Balkan music.

I have watched so many movies that it becomes difficult to name them all.
Some of my favourite ones are: The Godfather (first and second) - I know, such a cliche - , Cloud Atlas, Midnight in Paris, Inglorious Basterds, Sergio Leone's movies, Life is beautiful, Fargo, Sense8.

I wish I could write down a list of thousand books I've read and I loved, but I cannot. Why? Because movies always were more attractive to me. However, I loved The Alchemist and I am up to suggestions of any kind.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I think that I do anything amazing when I have the chance to. With a good friend of mine, almost a brother, we said that we would like to be able to tell our children than we travelled the world, and other amazing human beings helped us doing it. So far, we made some steps forward.

Among the amazing things I have done, I will put in the first place the Trans-Siberian Railway experience, I left the Netherlands to get to Beijing in six weeks, using only buses, trains and hitchhiking. During this experience I had the possibility to swim in the deepest lake in the world (Lake Baikal), see the sun raising at 3 AM in St. Petersburg, and climb the Great Wall of China.
