Good question.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Had a great experience in Taiwan. Met a couch surfer online who was able to offer me reasonably priced accommodation in Taipei. Hosts were kind and I was shown around the night markets, taken hiking, and even had karaoke, asian style. I guess you really see the nice underbelly of humanity when your Couchsurfing. Needless to say, I was glad I joined.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Arriving in China in fall of 2012 without a lick of Chinese language skills and without reliable accommodation. It somehow worked out but the sill the start nearly broke me. It turned into one of the best years of my life.
Skinny dipping in Kenting, Taiwan after being prodded by a rambunctious Canadian. It was off the cuff and so in the moment. One of the coolest moments.
Climbing the Haiku Stairs on January 1, 2017 in Oahu, Hawaii. Hard to get to? Yes. Illegal? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. Great way to start off the year.
