About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see every corner of the world and to make you fall in love with my city.

ABOUT ME

Hey everyone, if you're looking for a host please take a minute to read my profile.

Currently, I am a PhD student at the University of London, studying for my degree in Human Rights. I own a home in the center of New Orleans. My research in Human Rights involves the American Deep South so I may be at home or in the UK at any given time.

Couchsurfing has been an amazing thing for me. I started hosting in 2009 and have hosted hundreds of people and shared my unique city with them. In May of 2010 I sold all of my things so I could do some traveling for a year. I now travel whenever possible.

I miss the international crowd that I encountered traveling and I use Couchsurfing as a way to continue to meet people from all over.

PHILOSOPHY

For me, the Couchsurfing project is about more than finding a place to crash for the night. It has always been about meeting and connecting with people from around the world. I love hearing from folks that feel the same way!

I want to see every corner of the earth.

I am simply at my best when I'm either traveling or showing people around my city and state.

I love to be surrounded by good people and great conversation.

I am very openminded, very easygoing and completely non-judgemental.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing changed my life!

I have hosted hundreds of people in New Orleans and during times when I could not host I have met with many others. During my yearlong trip I surfed with hundreds of people. Couchsurfing has opened up the world for me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent 2010-2011 traveling Europe, parts of North Africa, Turkey and Cyprus and have been hosted in over 100 different places.

I have hosted hundreds of people in New Orleans and have had the pleasure of introducing them to my city.

Women, people of color, LGBTQ folks, and travelers of any faith or background from anywhere in the world should know that they will be welcome, safe and respected in my home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hosted all of you!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share my corner of the world with visitors.

I love to hear about new and innovative ideas that are being tried in your own town or city.

I am always eager to learn how to use my creative energy. I am getting back to performing music, which is something I did a lot as a child but lost along the way.

I enjoy friendly political discussion and the free exchange of ideas.

Languages! It is never a waste of time to learn a language, even if it is just a few words.

*Sites like AirBnB are displacing our residents and harming our culture. If you are on CouchSurfing because you want a true global exchange and care about the places you visit, please reconsider before using sites like AirBnB.*
