About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to see many different parts of the world!

ABOUT ME

I am very easy going and I like a good adventure. While I haven't done too much traveling before the journey I am currently on, I have gone on several long distance trekking trips, which are similar to overseas traveling in my mind. I love to be outdoors exploring. I also have a very creative imagination and love to be around children. I am definitely pretty shy at first, but as soon as I feel comfortable I become rather silly and more talkative.

PHILOSOPHY

Do what makes yourself and others happy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was introduced to CouchSurfing two years ago by my girlfriend. We hosted several people at our house in Northern New Hampshire. In the beginning I was more of an observer of the whole experience, but now I am an active participant. As I am now traveling, I find CouchSurfing a fascinating way to meet locals and get away from the throngs of tourists.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just created a profile, but I have co-hosted many people with my housemates who have been on CouchSurfing for years. I have also had the opportunity to CouchSurf more and more as I travel!

Interests

I like to spend time outdoors... hiking, skiing, canoeing, kayaking, and biking. I like to knit and read on rainy days. I hate to admit that I am a sucker for television. I also enjoy cooking (all types) and gardening--and talking about these things and sharing ideas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent six months hiking the Appalachian Trail up the East coast of the United States. I sailed on a tall ship from Massachusetts to the Caribbean. I sea kayaked for a month around Baja, Mexico and backpacked in Big Bend, TX and Death Valley, CA! My favorite adventures are those where I get to meet new people and see amazing natural sites.
