Overview
About Me
22 year-old Architecture student from Cork, Ireland.
Upbeat personality, happy to converse.
Wide array of interests (see below) :)
Very polite, my mother raised me well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Just finishing up my degree at the moment and I'm currently seeking out some professional experience abroad. Things are still kind of quiet here in the construction industry but even so, I'm excited to work in a different environment, have some new experiences, learn as much as I can, I think moving away for a short while might facilitate that.
Should an opportunity arise somewhere, it'd be nice to have a place to stay. Not sure I could handle bathing in the office sink for a few months...
Interests
Music, both playing and listening to.
Sports (primarily Basketball, Gaelic Football, Hurling and Rugby but I'll basically sit down and watch anything).

Music, Movies, and Books
A mix of acoustic folk stuff like Ben Howard, Lumineers, Mick Flannery.
Some of the classics like Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Eric Clapton.
Some more traditional rock like the Gaslight Anthem, Foo Fighters etc.
Movies: I'm not fussy with movies, sometimes like the more thought-provoking stuff, some documentaries, other times I'd happily chill out and watch a light-hearted film.
Books:
All of the clichés I guess. I suppose I started off on one of those "top books you should read" lists. 1984, Catcher in the Rye, Picture of Dorian Gray. Quite like sports autobiographies too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent a month in Kenya. We spent a few weeks working with a charity in rural areas, some construction, some education, community outreach, a mix of everything.
After that, myself and 2 others from our group climbed Mt. Kenya, got to the peak at sunrise, absolutely incredible. Did a safari afterwards, that was pretty cool.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I guess I've had a wide variety of experiences for someone my age, it's always nice to swap stories. Plus, I speak Irish relatively fluently, so there's a fun party trick you could share with your friends!
Countries I’ve Visited
France, Italy, Kenya, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
