ABOUT ME

I'm a person who's always trying to find balance in every situation. I'm concerned with being mindful and reciprocal, as well as open to all perspectives, human and otherwise. I like to live simply, but keep my thoughts complex.

My main objective is to experience all situations through a lens of love and compassion.

I also love to challenge cultural standards and established belief systems with compassion and humor. I embrace eccentricity, and I respect outliers.

I'm always trying to improve as an artist, I work in digital, traditional and three dimensional media whenever I can. In addition to personal art, I love to collaborate with others to achieve collective visions. I also wouldn't mind improving upon my writing.

I absolutely adore the manipulation of sound. I currently work as a virtual assistant, public relations representative and design/graphics artist for a widely respected musician, which puts me in close proximity to all kinds of interesting and crazy musical talents.

I keep myself on a fairly strict "primal" diet because I prefer unprocessed foods without refined sugar, both for health and taste. I don't particularly find a lot of pleasure in eating, so I focus on keeping my menu basic and catered to my nutritional requirements.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't subscribe to any single philosophy. I'm fascinated with everything, especially that which lies outside of our limited perception, and I want to remain adaptable and open to all possibilities while maintaining a reasonable level of skepticism.

I would love to build a greater network of people who share a similar vision of co-operation, openness, participation, and understanding. I'm also working to overcome residual social anxiety.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a seasoned host as well as surfer. I realize that I don't appear vouched for on this site; this is a fairly new profile separate from one I shared with my erstwhile roommate.

I once aspired to be a teacher, and I spent a good deal of my early 20s educating kids and adults about natural history. But now, at 33, I realize I'd rather focus on continuing my education through all kinds of experience.
