About Me
CURRENT MISSION
make the world a better place
ABOUT ME
I'm a nice gal from Kentucky. My mother tells me I have a pleasant disposition. I and my delightfully weirdo roommates live in a lavender colored house with chartreuse trim. We have chickens and rabbits and an annoying cat. I own two small businesses that my employee runs while I'm back in school studying English literature, creative writing and publishing. I like stripey socks. Once I went on a trip and realized that every item of clothing I had brought with me was either pink or red. Whoops.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe we can make the world a better place through the everyday interactions of our lives- by making sustainable choices, being kind and compassionate to others, remembering to laugh, and wearing silly costumes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed many a couch in my time. My house is often a stopping point for wayfaring friends, and I love having visitors from far off lands. We all have something to share, and we all have something to give. Once an entire bike circus stayed at my mom's house... every square inch of floor or bed was occupied by activist-biker-clowns. one guy taught my little brother to juggle, and my little sister (who was 10) was ready to join up.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Definitely surfed some couches, on and off cs and done quite a bit of hosting too. I love it when I end up staying with someone with a totally different lifestyle or background and finding our commonalities.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my experiences with starting and running a small, sustainable business, canning and preserving food, cooking healthy yummy stuff, a little bit of sewing. I like editing fiction and can talk about fiction writing technique too. I love sharing and talking about writing, boy howdy! I'd like to learn more languages, more recipes, more science.
