ABOUT ME

I’m enthusiastic and I really like to meet new people – it’s definitely a hobby of mine. I consider myself easygoing and have only once in my life met a person who didn’t like me (12 years ago). I like a good party but also enjoy a quiet summer evening on the balcony with a good, red Rioja and new or old friends. I enjoy having guests almost as much as I enjoy being one.

PHILOSOPHY

"It's not as bad as it seems - It is in fact much much better." I might be considered an optimist but I see no point in sulking when things don't go according to plan (whether it is breaking my computer or missing the bus to a planned trip). It's just an opportunity to do something else or discover something new.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recently moved to Copenhagen so in 2009 I will participate by getting to know the local couchsurfers and in a while to show people a good time in this fine fine city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've slept on couches of friends, relations and friends-of-friends almost every time I travel. I've also had the privilege of receiving a bunch of nice people in my apartment in Oslo. Recently I have also opened my couch to couchsurfers and have had the priviledge of meeting a couple of nice people. I just love the feeling of having an unknown person (although soon to be friend) on the couch, open the first can of beer, kick back and just start talking.

- Dancing Salsa (Still a beginner but it's FUN)
- Traveling (I travel for the people, for the sights for the food and to get away from the Norwegian weather)

I enjoy a good movie but recently I haven't given this a priority. There's just so many more fun and interesting things to do. Some of my favourites (January 2009) are: Tropa de Elite, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Love Actually (I have to see it every Christmas) and Tilsamans.

Don't get me started on music unless you really mean it. I love music and if I'm not listening to a song I am most likely, humming one, playing my guitar or sleeping. All my dreams have soundtracks!

I never go anywhere without a book. Currently I'm looking to expand my horizon so I'm reading whatever my trusted friends recommend.

Watching the sun rise from the sea at the Ipanema beach the first of January, 2006.

Having grilled goat (Omani style) with Omani friends after a long week of work. It's great to just sit down on the carpet and eat with your hands and the meet is just sooo tender.
